Opening to a story

 

 

As the earthquake gradually began to die down, children were screaming for the mothers. Everywhere there was panic and confusion. Piles of rubble filled up the streets also buildings were destroyed and many lives were shattered. The stench of death drifted in the air. Chaos loomed everywhere .twisted metal pierced the rubble. Above the Abandoned city survivors were looking for their children and mighty buildings that once stood but know were collapsed. There was destruction everywhere.

Description of setting

 

                 The Ancient church sits proudly close to the graveyard. The building is pointing to the blue sky and is as straight as soldiers. The grave is straight like a tower and are in rows there are lonely pathways. There are motionless trees. Birds singing proudly and beautifully on top of the trees. Bells can be heard from the church. Trees rustling in the wind and trees whispering. You can smell the fresh cut grass and flowers. Candle smoke is coming from the church.

Volcano

Tranquilly, the dormant volcano lies sleeping like a dog.

Resting, he lies there for decades.

It sleeps like a new born cub.

Standing still like a statue.

 

Suddenly, he becomes active.

BOOM, CRASH, ROAR!

His hungry belly rumbles.

 

The vicious monster wakes up in rage.

As destructive as war, and dangerous as a lion.

The violent volcano lashes ravenously.

 

Calmly, the volcano lies there again.

Quiet as ever.

He lays still as if there is no noise.

Tranquilly, he rest.

The Monster

My eyes couldn’t believe what they saw, my heart pounded, pounded and pounded. Swiftly, I dropped my flashlight and ran as I fast as I could. Towering over me breathing, licking his lips… I fell, I stopped, I breathed thinking it was my last breath… it glared into my eyes a glare of death… Before I could get up, his hand transformed into a fist, coming towards me… I screamed an ear-splitting scream. He stopped its hands unclutched and turned around. I sighed in relief, but he rapidly charged into me. I raced to the end of the path and at that moment I felt talons piercing my back…

Shane and the cat

 

As the thunder approaches, the rage of the horrifying rain lashes against the corrugating fence. This abysmal weather wakes the boy named Shane and his furry cat with no name. Shane says “Don’t worry Catlegs, your Safe here!” As the cat with no name leaps over the snuggly blanket and huddles up in a tiny ball.

 

Suddenly, the boy called Shane hears a horrific growl! Closer and closer it ROARS!!! It is the viscous ravenous dog! He is terrifying. The blood red eyes glares at the cat evilly and saliva drips form his white deadly intensely. The deep growl sends shivers of fear through the the boy called Shane and the cat with no name. The dangerous dog, which is starving, chases the innocent cat. The called Shane runs after the cat with no name. Finding the poor little cat behind the dustbins he snuggles up tightly.

 

“You’re safe here Fluffy cat. No-one will hurt you now. We have a big day tomorrow Kitty. Just you ‘n’ me, you ‘n’ me.”

               Mysterious Murder

 

 

Late last night, at Glamis castle, King Duncan was murdered while he was sleeping in his bedchamber. The motivation for this murder is still unknown.

 

As Macbeth woke up, he found King Duncan’s body drenched in blood. The guards were covered in blood holding sharp, bloody daggers.

“I was so devastated when I saw my Cousin Duncan’s dead body drenched in blood. When I saw the guards covered in blood I brutally killed them,” exclaimed Macbeth.

 

King Duncan’s sons, Malcom and Donal blain have fled the country. Lady Macbeth stated that if King Duncan’s sons fled the country when they heard that King Duncan had died, it is believed that they had something to do with the murder.

 

The whole country is waiting to hear if Macbeth is going to be king. Everyone is also waiting to hear if Malcom and Donal Blain have returned to Scotland.

The Monster

 

As I froze, I didn`t know what was going to happen next. Silently, as I crept forward, I suddenly saw a vicious, angry monster staring at me as I was going to do something really bad. Although, I ran, ran, ran, as fast as I could to defeat that spiteful, obnoxious monster. He caught me! Its claws were razor-sharp as I looked with my eyes. Its red-blooded eyes were staring at me as I tried to escape. I ran… finally, finally, finally, I defended that ugly, monster. I escaped!!!

Towering above me was a repulsive creature staring at me with his cat- like eyes. Its gigantic body was bigger than a double decker bus. I ran as fast as I could, I could hear my heart pounding faster, faster and faster. Running hastily, I could feel the tunnel shaking as his colossal feet pounded to the ground. Suddenly, the tunnel stopped, I could feel his blue piercing eyes stabbing me. As he came towards me, I thought I skipped a heartbeat. Panic overcame me. Out of the blue, his enormous hand grabbed on my back…his knife sharp nails injected me and constant blood flowed down me like a river of blood. There I lay dead…

Character Profile – Macbeth

 

At the beginning of the story, Macbeth is an admire, noble man, who is respected by everyone in the whole of Scotland. He has been given the title ‘Thane of Cawdor’ after he has defeated the invading Norwegians. He is

 a loyal friend to Banquo and a courageous soldier.

 

After Macbeth kills Duncan, he is no longer a hero but a evil murderer, who is capable of acting in ambitious ways, controlled by his devilish greedy wife. He is troubled by his actions an sees a floating dagger covered with blood. The guilt of his murder is making him mad and un stable and his behaviour is unpredictable.

The Green Backed Spider   

 

 

The Green Backed Spider is an unique and beautiful creature which lives in a rainforest.

 

Habitat

 

Deep in a tree there is a hole in which this amazing creature can be found. Inside this unusual hole the smart arachnid, which is an omnivore, keeps all its food in an area where all web nurseries are layed. Putting spikes around the hole, this insect is capable of its own defence.

 

What it eats

 

Eating the dark green leaves from the exotic mango tree, makes it health and full. They also eat bees, ants and sometimes carron food (dead meat) but its favourite food is leaves.

 

Appearance

 

Its back is emerald green and as shiny as a sun reflecting a mirror. This animal can camouflage every surrounding for survival. Its legs are approximately fifteen centimetre long for a distance travel.  

 

Why It’s Endangered

 

Hunters, who are dangerous, chuck their poisonous for paralyzing animals. The water poluts from the boats from us humans.

 

Closing

If this spectacular animal becomes extinct it will be a big tragedy as well as disgusting behaviour from human s.

TO the parents of Bradley Chalkers,

 

My name is Carla Davies and I am the councillor at Redhill primary school. I am writing to you to inform you about radley’s behaviour and the improvements that he has made during this past term.

 

Before I met Bradley he was a very naughty and struggled alot.

Bradley at first had a very bad attitude to learning also he tried to be big so he showed people a negative attitude. He was extremely disruptive in the class room. He struggled in making friends as he was a bully.

 

However during this past two months. I am extremely pleased to inform you about his outstanding performance in the class. He has made a real effort to make friends and hiss confidence grows every day.  Even his teacher Miss Ebbel has noticed great improvement in his attitude to school work. She is surprised and extremely impressed that Bradley does his homework on a regular basis. I have really enjoyed working with Bradley and have great hopes for Bradley for the future.

 

Unfortunately, I have to leave Redhill primary school. I have informed Bradley that I am leaving which has caused a dramatic change in his behaviour. He had done a book review but ripped it all up. He even said to me I am not going to Coleen’s birthday party and I don’t like Jeff, either and I’m never going to do my homework, ever again , and I’m going to fail in all of my tests.

 

I am very happy with Bradley. Please keep up the hard work whilst I am not there. I have many, many hopes for him in the future. I hope he carries on with his fantastic work and confidence.

Write a short story

Snuggled up in bed with the cat with no name, the boy called Shane listens to the crashing rain outside his den. “Don’t worry cat legs, nothing will happen. Soon the rain will go. I’ll protect you till the end best cat. After the rain we’ll go outside.” This boy called Shane hears a loud bang and stops dead. The boy called Shane puts cat legs tight in his jacket and crawls outside his den to investigate.

“You’re safe in there kitty cat, I’m sure it was only a dustbin led” As Shane walks to the pitch black  alley way, a big bolt of lightning strikes and a shadowy figure emerges behind him. From behind the fence a huge growl in golfs all the alleyway, causing the cat with no name to jump out of the jacket of the boy called Shane and disappear in the dark alleyway. Not wanting to be alone the boy called Shane immendently chases after the no name cat. “Don’t worry spitfire please comeback. I told u I will look after you, after searching for hours and hours, this boy called Shane loses hop and returns home. Crawling through the hole in the fence, the boy called Shane sees the cat with no name waiting outside his den. “I knew I we would be together forever, let’s go inside delicious food awaiting.”

The Green Backed Spider

 

Living for thousands of years in the Amazon Rainforest, this unique species of spider, The Green Backed Spider, is now near extinction.

 

Appearance

This spectacular creature has various fascinating features. As this creature is known as the Green Backed Spider, it has a green back which is able to camouflage in different climates and colours in the rainforest such as orange leaves from the orangutal tree. The size of two large mangoes, this amazing creature is the biggest species of spider s discovered on Earth. These spiders have fifteen centimetres long legs and retractable paws which are sticky.

 

Endangered

Due to deforestation in rain forests, many habitats of creatures have been destroyed like this helpless Green Backed Spider as their habitats are on the canopy of the tree. When spiders are breeding, they make borrows which are also being destroyed by people trampling while cutting down trees.

 

If this creature ever becomes extinct, it will be such a tragedy as it is an amazing and an impressive specie of spider.

Woods in the Moonlight

 

In the eerie woods a scared silence wonders about in the dark. Sharp claws hang down from the towering trees. Glistening in the moonlight, scattered leaves on the ground looked like heaps of diamonds waiting to be found. Usually a small animal, possibly a mouse or vole, could be heard in the distance, looking eagerly for food. Mysterious shadows lurked quietly through the hazy woods.

The Deserted Island

 

As the scorching hot sun glistened peacefully in the magnificent clear sky, gentle waves softly lapped the silky, smooth sand. A coconutty aroma wafted around the deserted island, leaving a soft, peaceful atmosphere. The golden sand glittered in the sunlight as the emerald palm trees swayed gently in the cool summer breeze. Glistening in the sweltering sun, the azure water sang joyful songs, as it lapped the golden sand. Broad leafed trees danced triumphantly, bathing in the sunlight. Across the horizon, the sun slowly disappeared beneath the great, blue water world its last few rays of sunlight illuminating the undiscovered island. As the last few rays of the sun died down, a swarm of dolphins could be seen returning to their water world. The calm, peaceful island was almost too good to be true…

Murder at Glamis

 

As night fell, our strong king of Scotland, King Duncan, was sadly stabbed. Last night, the death took place at the great Glamis Castle in his bedchamber.

At about 6:00 am in the morning, Macbeth found the corpse of King Duncan, drenched in blood. The guards were found sleeping clutching a sharp, blood stained dagger and were smeared with blood. Immediately Macbeth killed the guards in fury. Macbeth reported, in anger “I was so terrified when I saw the body of my cousin, I just froze! I can’t believe that my cousins own guards would betray him like this. “

Malcom and Donaldian the king’s son, have fled the country .lady Macbeth started the rumour that Malcom and Donaldian may have been involved in the murder and ran away.

Mystery

 

Dani and Gabe went to the toilet together. The class were doing science, suddenly the fire bell rang. “Quick, get in your line and walk out!” yelled Miss Andress. Dani and Gabe heard the fire bell and tried to get out but unfortunately the caretaker had locked the door, oh no! Gabe what are we going to do? What if it’s a real fire? Gabe, I’m really scared!” cried Dani.

“Don’t worry, we will figure something out. “Said Gabe with confidence. Everyone expect Gabe and Dani were outside.

“Right everyone stay calm, I’ve just found out it’s a real fire near the toilets stay calm. I’m going to do the register in a bit.” Explained Miss Andress

“Gabe! I can smell smoke!” shouted Dani

“So can I now it’s got serious” shouted Gabe

“It’s a real fire! We’re going to die!” screamed Dani

“Oh no1 everyone’s here expect Dani and Gabe! Heaven’s sake there in the toilet and the caretakers locked it, what shall I do even I can’t go inside!” sighed Miss Andress.

Woods in the Moonlight

                                      

In the gloomy, remote forest, the glistening, ghostly galleon was tossed upon the cloudy seas. Spooky and still, the creepy forest was deadly silent. As tall as a crane, trees towered over scattered leaves whilst small animals, mice or voles, rustled across the forest, trying to find food. The mysterious forest just got more frightening, as the white light from the moon got brighter and brighter and brighter. Soon, half of the forest was full of light and the other, petrifying, half was full of darkness. The eerie forest just got more terrifying!

Mysterious murder

Last night, Duncan, king of Scotland, was brutally stabbed to death whilst sleeping in his bedchamber in Glamis castle. The motivation for this horrific murder remains a mystery.

 

Early this morning, Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor, found his dear cousin`s corpse. King Duncan was drenched in blood. Seeing the guards smeared with blood and clutching bloody daggers, the Thane of Cawdor lost his temper and killed the two of them instantly. “I was outraged at my cousin`s savage murder, so I killed the two guards as they were covered in blood and clutching bloody daggers!” commented the king`s cousin.

 

After their father`s mysterious death, Malcolm and Donalbain are unsighted and are believed to have fled. There is suspicion that they might have been involved in their father`s terrific murder, ordering the guards to kill him. Lady Macbeth stated that there is suspicion that the two brothers are involved otherwise they wouldn`t have fled.

 

As Malcolm and Donalbain have fled, there is confusion regarding the future king. John Carter stated that it is likely that the next king will be Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor. The country is awaiting for the official announcement.
