The Island
On
the tranquil Mediterranean island, all was calm and peaceful. Beneath the
sweltering sun, pure white sand glittered in the sunlight, a magnificent sight
to behold. Broad-leaved palm trees swayed gently in the cool summer breeze,
basking in the sunlight. Gently, gently, azure waves lapped slowly in the
beach. A coconutty aroma wafted through the trees, from ripe coconuts which had
split open after falling down. The bright, clear sky and shimmering sun
completed the picture, making it a wondrous sight, the sight of a lifetime. Far
out to sea, a pod of dolphins played joyfully in the sea.
It was almost too good to be
true…
And, as darkness fell, the
atmosphere began to change…
